Kayak, was constructed next to Triune of Troy (Channel class number 3) at Moody’s yard on the river Hamble. She had exactly the same hull dimensions, ballast ratio and sail area, however she was not from the same set of working drawings as there were many small modifications and updates for this yacht whose design chronologically directly followed Triune’s.
Her third owner was British banker Sir Dermot de Trafford, and since that time we have five further owners listed until 1979
