Unlike the Salar 40’s the Buccaneer was offered only as a ketch but with the development of the Salar Buccaneer the designers took the opportunity to add to and improve the accommodation and layout. The saloon was enlarged and a proper chart table and navigator seat was added aft to starboard and the settees and table were redesigned some 50% larger.

Most notably the aft cabin had the trappings of a ‘great cabin’ with aft facing ‘galley’ windows and three windows on each side of the hull. The sole became two level and twin berths replaced with a full width double berth and full width upholstered window seat.

Some Buccaneers, particular those that were finished by their owners were built with further changes to the saloon arrangement.
