Sandpiper is a project which could be undertaken by someone new to boatbuilding.  As a member of the famous Keyhaven Yawl family of plywood sailing cruisers, it slots in between the popular sixteen foot Kingfisher and the twenty four foot Salting.

Combining high bulwarks with modern shoal draft and with the benefit of a spacious cabin, the Sandpiper is a safe and comfortable family boat. There are currently thirty afloat, mostly home built and all based on the original hull design; gaff yawl, or gaff cutter
