Mr Petterson planned to undertake extensive ocean cruising and his wife and was particular that his requirement was for a two berth layout. He favoured G.R.P construction and at this time in September 1977 Laurent Giles were in the closing stages of negotiation with the Lymington Seaboat Company to grant a single world-wide licence for the production of a fiberglass Vertue.
Mr Petterson had anticipated a complete redesign to incorporate all of his requirements but the Partners were unwilling to do this given the £135.00 fee. Instead they offered the standard plan set with additional drawings of those specific areas which differed from the standard boat. Altogether a total of thirty-eight plans were provided, the most for any of the Vertues constructed before or since.
It would appear from the correspondence that the finished yacht stepped the bermudan cutter rig stepped on the extended ocean cruising deck works. The hull type being of raised topside and of carvel planking and steamed timbers construction with a lead keel. The interior layout was as Simo (V113) built by Percy See in 1961
