With the low coach roof arrangement based on Andrillot (design number 0015) and the latest Vertue II hull form and interior layout, Wolfgang Beich constructed his Vertue using the strip plank method.
She was rigged as a gaff cutter pretty much in line with the sail and spar plan issued in 1938 for Andrillot although a later gaff rigged sail plan which was drawn but not built was also issued for guidance in construction of the wooden mast and spars.
