In 1939 when Woodnuts were already building Whooper for Mr Gregory and had delivered Verity A the previous year, Giles commissioned Vertue number 7 also based on the hull lines of Andrillot with the same overall dimensions and the frame spacing and arrangements as Monie.
Kawan voyaged to the United States and our records show her to be re-named Kawan Ti cruising Tahiti between 1970/72 but while returning to the Mediterranean she sadly was lost on a reef in the Gulf of Suez in 1975
