Delivered by Primmer & Snook in 1948 Frea was the last of the post-war low coach roof Vertues but the second of three Vertues to be built by this yard between 1948/9. They had previously built Lt. Col. Fernie's 26 foot Cleomene and Mr Irwin's 31 foot Laurent Giles racers Motihari III ten years earlier.
In 1967 the yard was taken over by adjoining Deacons Boatyard who had previously undertaken the refit of the paddle steamer Lymington into a luxury houseboat.
Frea has also borne the name Corran and later Vertue Celia she is now named Jessica
