Kishti which was the first of the revamped Vertues, was launched in 1947. Still with the unaltered sheer line but the deckhouse and cockpit arrangement changed to give greater headroom in the saloon and forward cabin, full standing in the galley and generally make the design more appealing at a time when Giles wished to augment sales.
The interior layout was developed with galley aft and two fixed settee berths in the saloon with one folding cot forward to starboard. The original slutter sail plan was modified slightly retaining the hollow spar design, with the hollow mast stepped on the coachroof.
