Miss Elizabeth is a design created in the early 1990’s as a yacht tender/ski tow and runabout for a larger super yacht.
The prototype was professionally built and originally designed to be fitted with a Volvo Penta 590 V Duo Prop single out-drive engine, Miss Elizabeth was actually fitted with the Mercury Mercruiser option.
A high dead-rise deep V hull form is suitable for a top speed of 40 knots, she is constructed from strip plank timber above the chine; plywood below. All bulkheads are made of plywood and the shapes and timber sizes and weights are manageable for a competent builder using full size transverse frame and stem templates provided. In the spring of 2017 five of these craft have been constructed.
