Less than a year after the introduction of Longbow, the archetype Westerly 31, there appeared for the first time at the London Earls Court boat show the ketch centre cockpit Renown. To be followed with aft cockpit Pentland in 1973 when demand for bilge keel versions increased.

In total two hundred and forty-one Pentlands were built and  two hundred and seventy-three Renowns.

Drawings are now available for construction of a 1:25 scale model of the westerly 31 range
